Just Tao It:

What does this mean? and where does it come from? There can be many answers to these questions, along with in-depth discussions; however, the answer for me is in the name:

Tao (from Tao te Ching-the Way straight from the Heart). It is about what's innately right, good at the core when all else is stripped away. Tao is as if I were a child looking at the world. Children are wide-eyed, in awe of the newness and know no enemies! A child marvels at the sight of another child, approaching openly with an out-stretched hand: curious about differences. Unfortunately, this open curiosity tends to be squelched early in life.

Tao is about being curious and authentic; looking to see if the external actions and expressions reflect what the internal self is feeling. If a difference between the two is present, then stress is present. Curiosity provides the fuel to find a way to achieve the balance between the two selves, while being mindful supports the journey. My goal is to be on the outside, as I feel on the inside: mindful and deliberate. Living this way can be very enlightening and fun! Fear and excitement are the same emotions, just different perceptions!

"Just Tao It" is my way of extending the message to others, and hopefully spread a little bit of the spirit of Tao around. While reading the book, "Hidden Messages in Water", I realized that it shows a way to see authenticity as a visual reality through pictures of frozen crystals: it has a message for all-whatever energy is directed towards us on the outside, effects the energy on the inside. Being deliberate and mindful when communicating with others took on a new and deeper meaning for me. I highly recommend this book for a good read!
